TKK Obtains $250,000 for Illinois Football Player

CHICAGO, IL, MAY 30, 2017

By Robert F. Geimer

The Chicago attorneys at Tomasik Kotin Kasserman (TKK) obtained a $250,000 settlement for former Illini football player Simon Cvijanovic on May 29. TKK attorneys Dan Kotin and Bob Geimer negotiated the deal with the University of Illinois.

The settlement will compensate former Illini lineman Cvijanovic for injuries sustained in football games during 2013 and 2014. In 2015, Cvijanovic said that former Illinois coach Tim Beckman forced him to play while suffering from knee and shoulder injuries. Cvijanovic’s claims of mistreatment against Beckman were proved to be correct by the University’s own internal investigation.
