Jeannie LaBarbara is a seasoned trial lawyer with over a decade of experience handling high-stakes, emotionally complex, and catastrophic litigation. She has tried dozens of felony cases to verdict, including 18 jury trials and dozens of bench trials, and built a reputation for fierce courtroom advocacy, particularly in cases involving sexual assault, homicide, and other life-altering injuries.

Prior to joining the firm, Jeannie served as in-house counsel at Uber, where she managed some of the most high-profile litigation the company has faced - always with a survivor-centric focus. She played a central role in multi-jurisdictional mass tort litigation involving survivor claims, guiding strategy through Bellwether selections and expert discovery.

Before transitioning to civil litigation, Jeannie spent over a decade as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Cook County, where she prosecuted some of the toughest cases in the Sex Crimes and Domestic Violence Unit. She has extensive experience with forensic evidence, expert testimony, jury selection, and navigating the legal and emotional complexities of trauma-informed litigation.

Jeannie brings her unique cross-section of experience—from criminal courtrooms to complex civil mass torts—to every case. She is ethically committed to justice for survivors and injury victims and is known for her tenacity, empathy, and meticulous trial preparation.

After graduating from law school, Jeannie went on to coach multiple award-winning mock trial teams, where she helped cultivate the next generation of trial advocates. She continues to support legal education and mentorship in her community.

She received her J.D. from The John Marshall Law School, where she was a nationally recognized trial competitor, and her B.A. in Political Science from Illinois State University.
