Daniel Kotin Appointed to Serve on the Illinois Supreme Court Rules Committee

Attorney Daniel Kotin, a founding partner of Tomasik Kotin Kasserman, LLC, has been appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court to serve on the Supreme Court Rules Committee. The Rules Committee provides recommendations to the Supreme Court regarding the adoption and modification of rules governing trial and appellate procedures in civil and criminal cases. Dan's responsibilities will include reviewing proposed rules or amendments to existing rules to determine whether they have merit, participating in public hearings to address these proposals, and making recommendations regarding rule changes to the Supreme Court. His term on the committee will run through December 31, 2027.
Dan Kotin recently completed two terms serving on the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness. Previously, he served on the Hearing Board of the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission (ARDC). He is also a past president of the Chicago Bar Association, the Society of Trial Lawyers, and the Chicago Inn of Court.
