Tomasik Kotin Kasserman, LLC Secures $2.2 Million Settlement for Medical Malpractice
June 11, 2024
Recently, Attorneys Tim Tomasik, Heather Begley, and Katie Twardak were able to secure a settlement of $2,200,000.00 for a 13-year-old girl who was harmed by a failure to diagnose anemia. Our client visited a pediatric clinic in the Chicago area multiple times over a two-month period, but during this time, no blood tests were ordered. It was later discovered that she was suffering from acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Due to the failure to diagnose AML and anemia, she suffered a midbrain stroke. Our attorneys negotiated a settlement to address the harm our client suffered due to medical malpractice and ensure that she would be able to receive the proper care going forward.
